    Game Features

  • Set consists of many neutral cards able to fight for either Dark or Light side.
  • New game mechanics: “Bounty” and “Upkeep”.
  • Bounty: Many of the units (mostly characters) have the Bounty mechanic. Bounty rewards destroying an enemy unit. Rewards can be for anything, most often build points or Force.
  • Upkeep: Strong cards with high repeat costs. In order to keep them in play you have to keep paying for them.

    With The Empire Strikes Back set, you can deploy Imperial walkers to begin your assault or dispatch Rebel snowspeeders to hold them off.

    This new, 210-card set introduces units with Armor, the ability to enhance or disrupt the effects of Battle cards, and an entirely new card type that lets you take your conflicts to specific locations in the Star Wars universe.

    The Empire Strikes Back Two-Player Starter is for beginners who want to learn the Star Wars trading card game, play quickly, and build decks. It combines cards and dice with your strategies. Play it and determine your own destiny.

    Each Two-Player Starter contains identical cards and components:

  • 2 all-new, 30-card decks: Light Side and Dark Side. Decks contain duplicate cards.
  • 1 playmat (containing all the rules you need to play using the cards provided)
  • 1 rulebook

    Game Features

    The Empire Strikes Back includes two new card mechanics:

  • Armor: Units with Armor are more durable that their unarmed foes. They can only be hit when your opponent rolls a 5 or higher on their attack roll.

  • Enhance: Many cards (mostly Battle cards) have an “Enhance” cost in addition to their normal cost. If you can afford to pay the Enhance cost you get a much larger effect.

    The Jedi Guardians set pits the most powerful Jedi in the Republic against some of the deadliest servants of the dark side.

    This new, 105-card set introduces Reserves, which let you attack from a position of safety, as well as Overkill for directing extra damage at a secondary target. Plan your strategy carefully—the fate of the Republic hangs in the balance.

    Use the additional cards in booster packs to build or add reinforcements to your deck or collection. Booster packs are recommended for expert-level players. Dice and rules not included.

    A New Hope introduces three new mechanics promising to add new strategies and excitement to your decks.

  • Accuracy - Units with the Accuracy ability add +1 to each of their dice rolls when they attack, allowing them to hit on rolls of 3,4,5, or 6 (instead of just 4,5, or 6).
  • Intercept - Characters and units with the Intercept ability can pay Force points in order to make their enemies attacks fall upon them rather than another unit or character in the same arena.
  • Piloting - Each turn, heroes and villains with the Pilot ability can leap onto certain Ground vehicles and Space units and give one or more bonuses or special abilities to their vessel.
